Mila Lamberson - Owner, Stylist

I have been a licensed hairdresser for over 40 years. My parents, both artists, immigrated from Europe and eventually settled in Carmel By The Sea in Central California. I grew up with a deep love of art and enjoy creating in many forms today. I began my career designing costumes for theatre, and was ultimately stumped when it came to styling hair and wigs. I decided to go to beauty school, and the rest, as they say, is history.

My training modalities include Vidal Sassoon, Pivot Point, Head Shape Matters, Sally Rogerson, DevaCurl, Rezo, and more. For many years, I taught and specialized in multiple methods of hair color. Having curly hair myself, I always had an insight into the behavior of curly hair and with the recent natural texture trend, my current specialty has shifted to the cultivation and love of natural wave and curl.

For me, the experience of doing hair is not simply the hair itself - my approach always begins with the person behind it. I strive to help and inspire every client to see their inner beauty, and having great hair is a wonderful way to begin the process. I recognize you are as unique as your curls, and my goal is to empower both in equal measure.

Molly Kuhl - Co-owner, Stylist

I have been a stylist since 2005. I love impacting someone’s image and confidence in a positive way, and giving my clients their own unique hairstyle to suit their lifestyle and personal wellbeing is deeply gratifying to me. I'm passionate about creativity, and the constant evolution of the hair & beauty industry keeps me inspired, interested, and engaged. Being a hair stylist satisfies my need to create and to use my hands in an artistic process.

I offer all color services and haircuts - including curl-specific cuts and pixie cuts. My specialty certifications include Rezo, DevaCurl, The Business Of Balayage, and Head Shape Matters. I specialize in organic hair color and styling products. A severe allergy early in my career had me searching for alternatives and I now use only high quality product lines that are ammonia free and organic. My color line - OWay, or Organic Way - is the first professional organic hair color formulated with the highest concentration of organic, biodynamic and fair trade ingredients. I like being able to offer products like these to my clients that are better for the environment, not to mention the healthy integrity of the hair.

In my free time I love hiking the beautiful trails around Sonoma county and spending time with my fun family, which includes 2 kids and 2 dogs. I also roller skate with a local roller derby league, I love to garden, and my husband and I are beekeepers.

Michelle Scarpete - Stylist, Balayage Artist

I have called the Bay Area home my entire life, and I completed my training and education in hair and beauty right here in Santa Rosa at Lytle’s Beauty College. I have been doing hair for the better part of a decade, and I have developed a love of all things color.

Cultivating beauty has always been important to me, and hair allows me to be creative, help people, and be in business for myself. Besides hair, beauty, and color, I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, and I love helping them in any endeavor I can (at the moment we’re into 4-H and football!).

My favorite part of what I do is make people feel happy and beautiful. I specialize in Balayage coloring techniques, as well as all shades of blonde and fashion colors. I strive to use the highest quality products I can, and always have the health of the hair in mind. I love my business and my clients, and encourage all newcomers to our salon to feel the same.
